No Cost Representation

With injured.com we believe it is important for you to be free to focus on getting better, and not be concerned with how you are going to afford to make that happen.

To do this, we provide injury victims with a comprehensive offering that allows you to get legal representation and costs, medical care, and property replacement with no upfront cost to you.

In fact, you only pay if we win, and you won't owe us anything if we are not able to produce a favorable outcome in your case.

Your injury lawyer works on a contingency fee basis. Meaning, his or her fees are contingent upon obtaining a favorable outcome on your case. What this means is that there is incentive alignment between you and your attorney.

Understanding Contingency Fees

A contingency fee is a pre-arranged agreement between a client and an attorney. In the formalizing of the client/attorney relationship, both the client and the attorney agree upon a percentage of the settlement or award that the attorney will keep when the case concludes.

This means a couple things. First, you won't owe your attorney any fees if they do not achieve a positive outcome for you. Second, you will never end up owing more than your settlement.

No Out-of-Pocket Costs to You

Costs in an injury case can be considerable, and only increase if your case must go to trial. As part of the representation agreement, your attorney is agreeing to front the costs related to your case. As such, they are taking a financial risk by taking on your case - all the more reason they want it to conclude successfully.

When your case concludes successfully, costs that were fronted, will be taken out of your settlement/award. It is important to note that these are separate from attorney's fees.

If a positive outcome is not achieved, your attorney will take the financial loss - and not you.

Case costs can include police and medical record requests, court filing fees, expert witnesses, and more.

Immediate Access to Medical Care

The primary goal of everyone involved in an injury case, is for the victim to recover to the greatest extent as possible. making it critical for the injury victim to have access to right medical care.

However, in many cases the out-of-pocket cost of getting the right medical care is out-of-reach for many accident victims. For this reason, your attorney has developed a database of medical care providers who understand your predicament and will treat you with no out-of-pocket cost to you. Instead, they will place a lien against your case - taking payment at the conclusion of your case.

Settlement Money - Disbursement from Trust Account

When your case concludes, your award money is sent to your attorney's firm and placed in a trust account.

All bills, costs, liens, and fees will be calculated and paid out to the appropriate parties by your attorney. The amount that remains, if any, goes to you, the client.
