Construction workers and homeowners alike have been seriously injured from ladder falls. Workers have been told to use unsafe ladders or ordered to climb up an unstable part of the job site because no ladder was available. Sometimes a ladder is defective or improperly placed,  but the worker has no choice but to use it in order to get the job done.
